Orphaned at an early age, young Clint Barton found home travelling with a series of circuses, where he honed his natural archery talents and developed the costumed persona of ‘Hawkeye.’ A chance encounter with the super hero, Iron Man, left Clint with a fervent desire to use his abilities and persona to fight crime himself, a dream that was almost derailed by the seductive and duplicitous Black Widow. With Iron Man’s blessing, Clint successfully joined the ranks of the elite Avengers team, alongside the Scarlet Witch, Captain America and Quicksilver. Hawkeye would remain an active member of the Avengers for many years, in an illustrious career that would see him face off against dozens of adversaries, including his own brother, Barney and later his mentor, Trickshot. Throughout his tenure in the Avengers, as both a member and leader, Hawkeye’s proficiency with bow and arrow proved time and time again to be a potent match for his peers’ super human powers.
