John Cena the Worst WWE Champion of All Time.

Since 1963, the WWE Championship has had its share of great champions and its share of bad ones. Some would say that Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, Bruno Sammartino, Bret Hart and The Rock were arguably the greatest. Some guys were mediocre as champion and some were under achieving to down right bad. John Cena, financially has been great, but creatively and work wise maybe the worst champion of all time.
John Cena is a nice guy and one of the most hard working individuals to ever hold the title but never before has any champion in history been so hated then John Cena. His time away from the top spot has made him him look worse because of the stellar performance of CM Punk as champion. Not since Shawn Michael’s could you say that a WWE Champion has had three quality PPV matches in a row as the champion of WWE.
Since 2005, John Cena has been in the WWE Title picture and I can think of a handful of times that John had a great main event match. A lot of it is his not his fault because of the people he was put in against but all great champions learn to evolve and find ways to win, John has NEVER done that. It always ends the same AA or STF match over. Great matches do not always have to end with a finisher. Ric Fliar won great matches with out of no where pins or reversals.
I have heard this comment before, “Cena is a better worker than Hogan”. So not true, Hulk Hogan ade the Warrior look good, THE WARRIOR!!!!! Only time Cena has been in good matches is when he is their with guys like HBK, HHH, Edge and Punk. Hogan madde you believe he could beat anybody and thats what makes a great champion. Cena beat Jericho and Angle during his first title reign and the fans were calling bullshit, their is no way this guy can beat an Olympic medalist and one of the best workers of all time. Yes I know suspension of belief but NO HE DOES NOT MAKE IT LOOK CONCIEVABLE, HE MAKES IT LOOK CHEAP.
His match with the Miz last year at Wrestlemania may have hurt the Miz’s push more than anything, it was that bad and it closed the show of the biggest event of the year. You cannot turn him heel, the damage is to much of his credibility and creatively wise. He is a mjaor money maker but the John Cena Era will be looked at by me and many critics as one the worst eras in the histroy of wrestling. I find it uplifting that Bryan and Punk are on top because maybe we are headed to a new era. As a fan I could only hope.
