GI Joe: Retaliation Super Bowl Trailer

So there is no doubt that the first GI Joe movie was not quite what people were hoping for. Some may even call it complete dog shit. It’s pretty clear that all involved in the movie heard loud and clear, as the movie’s sequel, titled GI Joe: Retaliation, is shaping up to be a solid action flick. With many of the original cast gone, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson steps in as Roadblock to lead the crew and it seems like he will be joined by the original Joe, General Joe Colton, who happens to be played by Bruce Willis. That’s two heavy hitters right there. Ray Park is back as Snake Eyes, and really, that’s all that matters. Oh and he doesn’t have a mouth on his mask, which probably matters more.

The 30 second Super Bowl spot hit the net today and it is looking pretty tight. I posted a few screen caps that show off the new and less idiotic looking Cobra Commander. If you look closely, you’ll see Firefly in the background. It looks like we’ll also be seeing Jinx and the Red Ninjas. Storm Shadow is somehow back. Can’t wait to hear how they pulled that one off. The movie is scheduled for a June 2012 release and as you will see has not been rated. Without any further adieu, check out the trailer below:
