Megatron Is Back In Transformers 3!

That’s right folks, you can’t keep a good villain down for long, as everyone’s favorite Decepticon is set to make a comeback in this August’s Trasnformers 3: Dark Of The Moon. OK, that’s a lie, we all know Soundwave is superior and everyone else is inferior, but I digress. Lots of images are surfacing on the net the last few days of an unknown tanker style truck that had been said to be an unknown Decepticon in disguise, and as it turns out, that truck will be none other than Megatron himself. But wait, wasn’t Megatron a jet in the last two movies? Why yes, yes he was… but this is Michael Bay and Hasbro we’re talking about here, and they’re not going to let a little continuity get in the way of a new action figure, which is exactly how confirmation has arisen about this truck being the one and only Megatron. Oh, and nevermind that whole “Megatron is dead” bit at the end of… uh, both movies. If you’ve read comic books long enough, you’ll know no one is ever really dead.

I’d go ahead and hijack the photos and post them here, but rumor has it that Hasbro is none-too-pleased about the leaked images and is serving up cease and desists left and right, and quite frankly, I’m not interested in my first correspondence with the company being a punch in the face. Needless to say, we’re pretty excited for the new movie and quite intrigued to see where things progress from here.
